So many of us want to live a more ethical lifestyle and help save the planet and everything on it, but when there are so many factors to take into consideration, it’s far from easy. Here, at Ascension, we believe that all journeys begin with the first step and if we all make some small changes, together we can make a massive difference. We want to show the world that a stylish and design-led lifestyle can also be a sustainable one. It is possible to be green and gorgeous - the people we work with have proved that to us.
We're also trying to practise what we preach; we’re living the Ascension lifestyle, so we know all the ups and downs of ethical living. We’re walking the walk with you.
Based in Dorset, in an office that’s surrounded by greenery and the beautiful English countryside, we aim to run the business as environmentally and socially responsibly as possible.
We support our local community and watch our carbon emissions. We've found the most amazing local recycling company that don't only collect the usual paper, card, tin etc. but also food containers, Tetrapaks and scraps of plastic. (They make our life so much easier!) We have our own compost bin and we try to buy organic and locally sourced produce. Our packaging is made of recycled card and printed with water-based inks.
Sadly, we're not yet in charge of where our energy comes from, but we’re looking into solar options and until then we wear lots of sweaters in the winter.
We don’t claim to be perfect, but we’re certainly moving in the right direction. We’re pleased to have you on board, along with all the brands we stock, for the trip ahead.
