Their factories in India conform to the ISO 9001 environmental standard and the women are employed on permanent contracts – ensuring social security, health provision and a living wage. Article 23 is certified Fair Trade by The World Fair Trade Organisation and, in order to minimise the impact the factory has on the local environment, the fabrics are produced organically according to GOTS standards.
